WHAT DO I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Coming into our practice for the first time we will ask you to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your appointment so we can go through and confirm all your information and any special requirements before your enter into the dental chair. You will need to bring with you any x-rays that you may have access to or have them forwarded to us from your previous dental practice. Also any medication lists or recommendation from your doctor regarding any medical procedures or taking medication before your dental treatment.
SAME DAY EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS
In the unfortunate event of a sudden Toothache, Trauma, Broken Tooth or in any circumstance where an emergency appointment is needed we will try and accommodate your needs as much as we can, we understand emergencies occur and at the most unfortunate times and will try to see you as soon as possible.
WHAT FEES WILL I PAY & HOW DO YOU BILL?
All dental treatment and procedures will be quoted to you and explained before commencing any treatment by your dentist and upon booking an appointment our staff will happy give you a rough indication quote depending on what your appointment needs. After a consultation or Examination with your dentist if any further treatment is required a full quote will be given and explained to you on the day before leaving.
Payment is accepted on the day of the appointment. We accept cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. We also have HICAPS available to make on the spot claiming directly from your health fund leaving you with little or no out of pocket on the day.
Bayview Dental Centre work with HCF more for teeth program, TUH and CBHS dental extras programs, entitling you up to two Examinations and Cleans per year covered by your health fund and allowing you to receive the most back from your health fund for any other general or major dental.
For those who are entitled to Veterans Affairs Gold Card your dental treatments will be bulk billed.
For children under up to and including the age of 17 Bayview Dental Centre offer a NO HEALTH FUND GAP on examination, cleaning, fluoride treatments and x-rays (if required), and for those families who don’t have Private Heath Funds we offer 50% discount on our normal fees for examination, cleaning, fluoride treatments and x-rays (if required) for children up to and including 17 years.
WHAT ARE YOUR GAP FREE POLICIES?
Our “Gap Free” policy means that if your Private Health Insurance pays a full benefit rebate for your general and preventative dental treatment, we will not charge you the “gap” amount – that is, the difference between the cost of your treatment, and the insurance rebate received.
“Gap Free” treatment for children 12 and under are:
- Check ups
- Scale and Cleaning
- X-rays (if required)
In order to take advantage of our Gap Free Policy, the patient receiving treatment must meet the following conditions on the day of treatment:
- You must be covered for dental by an Australian Private Health Insurer on the day of treatment.
- You must have your current health fund card with you on the day of treatment.
- Your health fund pays a full rebate for each of the “gap free” treatments and
- You have not exceeded your health fund benefits limit for the current period.
- (Limits may apply to both service and monetary amounts)
You will be required to pay the full amount if any of the following conditions apply:
- Your Health fund Limit has been reached.
- Your Health fund policy is un-financial.
- Patient claiming service is not covered under the policy.
Please ensure that the above conditions are met in order to receive the “Gap Free” benefit.
